Having a great product seems to be not enough these days. In the ocean of products, packaging is the one thing which will differentiate a particular product from the others. But when it comes to packaging, almost everyone seems to think that it is quite expensive. You might be right, but not necessarily.

Kokomo Coffee Packaging is a great example of cheap and unique packaging solution. AKU Design Agency worked together with UK illustrator Ryan Chapman to create dynamic, colourful and effective postage stamps for Kokomo Coffee’s African and South American blends.

The stamps serve as way to visualize popular symbols of the coffee origin and the distance the products travel to their consumers. A clever and uncommon way to create memorable packaging.

Here is the Kokomo Coffee packaging story from the creators:

The packaging of the small coffee roasters was designed as a modular system to avoid high production costs and leftovers. Besides necessary information the only visual elements are stamps representing coffee’s country of origin.
