For many years, a widespread misconception convinced the public that dyslexia is a learning disability. Even now, in 2017, there are many school children and university students with dyslexia, still undiagnosed.

Often, children with dyslexia are considered as lazy or not very intelligent.

Sydlexia organization wanted to confront the misconceptions and created a vivid and informative campaign. The idea behind this campaign is to generate awareness of this little-known disorder.

The organization worked together with graphic designers to create a series of posters which illustrate the difficulty of making sense of words you can’t recognize.

The creations are not just posters but interactive learning tools which serve in the form of origami posters. When they are folded correctly a word is formed. These learning posters show the connection of the word to the object it represents in the mind of a dyslexic person.

Have a look at the posters.
