Photoshop/Illustrator Tutorial: Google Material Design for Apps

Learn how to use Photoshop and Illustrator to create great material design interfaces and icons.

Since the introduction of the Google Material Design, many tutorials are available to show how to create such designs. After presenting Materialize CSS Framework, which allows web designers to incorporate Material Design in web projects, I have decided to present a tutorial on how to create Google designs by using Photoshop and Illustrator.

This tutorial is a rather long one, so allow yourself 90 minutes to watch it and probably a bit more time if you try up the designs while watching. The tut is created by ArmaganVideos and shows up how to design all the neccessary assets that you may need using Google guidelines.

In 90 minutes, you will learn; how to create beautiful icons with Illustrator and Photoshop; some great tips on typography and interface design; and how to add the characteristic shadows from material design.
